Tarot Archetypes in the World Today!
By Paula G.

info@inlinewithdivine.net

Today, while there are many people in crisis, there are as many paths to turn to, each with its own set of tools. The Tarot, is an ancient tool of divination from the Egyptian times that traveled across the world through the traveling Gypsies.
We can easily witness the 22 main archetypes depicted in the Major Arcana in every society. The Empress, Mother Earth, is where we live with a new opportunity to merge with The Emperor, Father Sky, in a uniting dance of balance and grace. Many people are taking risks like The Fool to expand awareness of life. Anyone can play the lottery and change their fortune with The Wheel of Fortune. Presently we are in an extraordinary time of Transformation or the Death card within ourselves as well as society and the planet at large. Women and men alike are searching for balance inside and within their relationships via The Moon and The Sun tarot cards. Receiving the knowing of the High Priestess and the guidance of the Hierophant, one can then use the alchemy of the Magician and the patience of the Temperance card to manifest through right action. Simply embody any one of the Tarot Major Arcana by keeping it at bedside or sleeping with it under the pillow.
It is time to respect all parts of oneself, and one way to do that is to be aware and integrate all of the archetypes in one’s life.

Balance in Anusara Yoga!
By Lauri Ashworth

As a yearly birthday present Paula G. always gives me a birthday tarot reading. It’s a 12-card/month layout with the 13th card representing the central theme of the year. This year my card was COMPROMISE. Hmm, I thought. What does compromise mean to me and how does compromise translate into the physical body?
In Anusara Yoga all emotions can reflect a pose, or visa versa, the pose can reflect how you are feeling on the inside. In fact the primary purpose is to connect with what’s going on inside first and then move it into a physical form or posture. It’s of utmost importance that you always look for the good inside first and reflect the essence of greatness in your form.
One of the ways to think of compromise is a state of balance. What poses interpret balance? There are many, but think about what are the qualities that make up balance in the physical poses, in the mind and in the heart? For me its strength coupled with flexibility. Isn’t that a beautiful pairing? To be strong yet graceful and flowing with the energy. Knowing that whatever is going on, whatever is taking place that being in a state of power and ease will support you through anything. Think of a tall palm tree blowing in a storm; in order for it to not break it must be rooted into the earth at the base but flexible at the top to flow with the wind.
In any yoga pose, it is important to connect to the strength and softness of your breath. Check that you are breathing in a balanced, even way. On an inhale, bring strong muscle engagement from outside your body to the inside, firm your muscles and feel a hugging in action. On the exhale, soften the skin and let the energy of the pose fully move throughout the inside and outside of your body. Always be grounded with strength and yet flexible with grace.

Namaste!
